Nice compilation of basic SEO-MUSTS – pass it on to as many web designers as you can.

One thing I would like to add in terms of navigation:
Don’t restrict extension on nav menus in other words you must be able to add new menu items to the nav menu.. I came across this once when I wanted to add a new page to the site to keep the content fresh.. there was almost no way to extend on the nav items coz of it’s “creative design”. Think ahead and not for the moment
